Northern Educate Hockey and Lacrosse Academy will be hosting an Open House at Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm on Wednesday, December 4th and Wednesday, December 18th. Northern Educate Sports Academies originated in Minnesota and has expanded their operations to Rochester, NY this past fall. Rochester will be the first location throughout the Northeast to offer such a terrific opportunity. Northern Educate Sports Academy is designed for boys and girls grades K-12 and at this time has sports development programs for ice hockey.
Beginning for the 2014 – 2015 season, Northern Educate Hockey Academy will be fielding three Girls Teams (U14, U16, and U19). All teams will be Tier I and tryouts will be in the spring of 2014 and will include Girls from all over North America, who will be attending Northern Educate as well as local Rochesterians.
Academically, Northern Educate Sports Academy offers individualized curriculum, challenging each student while working at their own pace to help them learn to the best of their ability. Because the student-to-teacher ratio is no more than 6:1, instructors are able to provide one-on-one help on a daily basis to ensure students are progressing on track and meeting the mandatory grade requirements.
"Every student is unique and learns at a different pace," said Dr. Shawn Black, founder and president of Northern Educate Sports Academy. "Our goal is to help each child excel in their studies and we provide the one-on-one attention they need in order to do so. We work with each child to ensure they achieve their full potential whether it's in their school work or on the ice or field."
Instructors will provide 480 hours of professionally developed on-ice/on-field curriculum based on decades of experience in a wide variety of individual skills. Every athlete will participate in the Athletic Performance Program and each day will work on their athleticism, agility and strength.
Please join us on December 4th or December 18th from 5:30 pm – 7:30pm in the Hampton Room to learn more and meet our Headmaster, Education Director, as well as Hockey Director.
